It is always difficult to take a step further when circumstances are not good. It may bring worries, fear.

I see one way:

  • Think more in advance. It is like playing chess. Have next and better two next steps in your mind.
  • Breathe slowly before doing something. Think twice. Take your time.
  • And finally do it. Otherwise you will regret.
  • Because if you do not act the second party will do, and probably not in your favor.

Be strong, be brave.
